Welcome

We are Molly and John Swan Sheeran.

We're a husband and wife studio Arts and Craft business.

We started Celtic Swan Forge in 1981 and have specialized in tools for fiber artists.
      We make each tool with the same care and finish as a fine piece of jewelry.

We design, hand hammer, hand finish and sign each tool ourselves.
     We hot forge Bronze, Sterling Silver and 14kt. Gold.

We do this just like a blacksmith forges iron, with fire, hammer and anvil while the metal is red hot.

                    Then we finish each tool to a mirror shine

                         so the yarn glides easily across it.

Our style is influenced by the

 " Celtic Revival Movement "

and the work of ancient

 Celtic and Norse  Bronzesmiths.

Through out the years we have sold our work through Art and Craft galleries and Yarn stores. We spent many years on the road selling our work at large craft fairs and fiber art shows. Fiber tools have always been our primary product. We always display our tools with yarn for our customers to give the tools a try, and in this way we were able to learn from many thousands of crocheters, knitters, weavers and spinners just what they thought of the function of each individual tool. We owe them great thanks for their help. The result is what we hope is a beautiful tool with a design refined well over twenty years.

We set both Precious and Semi-Precious Stones.
